Ingredients

  • All-Purpose Flour
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Baking Powder
  • Baking Soda
  • Salt
  • Buttermilk
  • Eggs
  • Melted Butter
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Christmas Sprinkles (jimmies, nonpareils, or a mix)

Instructions

  • Gather all ingredients.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Gently fold in most of the sprinkles, reserving some for the top.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  • Sprinkle the remaining sprinkles on top.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs attached.
  • If the top is browning too quickly, tent it loosely with aluminum foil during the last 15-20 minutes of baking.
  • Let the bread cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Slice and serve. Enjoy!
