- Christmas Sprinkles (jimmies, nonpareils, or a mix)
- Gather all ingredients.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Gently fold in most of the sprinkles, reserving some for the top.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Sprinkle the remaining sprinkles on top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs attached.
- If the top is browning too quickly, tent it loosely with aluminum foil during the last 15-20 minutes of baking.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
