Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sugar, and orange zest (if using). Beat until smooth.
Gently fold in cranberry sauce.
Unroll crescent roll dough and separate into triangles. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Spoon a tablespoon of cream cheese mixture onto the wide end of each triangle. Roll up.
Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with pecan-brown sugar mixture (if using).
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
