Quick onepan creamy pasta recipe Delicious Cajun honey garlic steak

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound of sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into thin strips
  • 1 pound of penne or rotini pasta
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped (any color)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the steak strips and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside. Don’t overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if necessary to ensure proper browning.
  • Add butter to the same skillet. Add the chopped onion and bell pepper and cook for 5-7 minutes, until softened.
  • Add the minced garlic and Cajun seasoning to the skillet and cook for 1 minute more, until fragrant.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  • Add the uncooked pasta to the skillet. Stir to ensure the pasta is submerged in the liquid.
  • Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the pasta is cooked through and the sauce has thickened. Stir occasionally to prevent the pasta from sticking.
  • Stir in the honey and cooked steak. Heat through for 1-2 minutes.
  • Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately.
