Easy crockpot ham green beans and potatoes recipe Simple slow cooker meal

Ingredients

  • 2-3 pounds boneless ham steak or ham roast
  • 2 pounds Yukon Gold or red potatoes, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 medium yellow or white onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (optional)

Instructions

  • Place the potatoes and onions on the bottom of the crockpot.
  • Add the ham and green beans on top of the potatoes and onions.
  • Mince garlic and distribute over the top of the ingredients.
  • Pour chicken broth over the ingredients.
  • Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried thyme. Add brown sugar or maple syrup and apple cider vinegar, if desired.
  • Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, or until the potatoes are tender and the ham is heated through.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!
