Ingredients

  • Fresh Cranberries (12 oz)
  • Optional: Orange Zest
  • Optional: Cinnamon
  • Instructions

  • Wash and sort the cranberries, discarding any that are soft, shriveled, or bruised.
  • Spread the cranberries in a single layer on dehydrator trays or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. If using optional flavorings, sprinkle orange zest or cinnamon evenly over the cranberries.
  • Dehydrate at 135°F (57°C) for 12-16 hours, or until the cranberries are completely dry and brittle. If using an oven, set it to the lowest possible temperature (ideally 170°F or lower), prop the door open slightly, and bake for several hours until dry.
  • Allow the dehydrated cranberries to cool completely.
  • Grind the cooled cranberries into a fine powder using a spice grinder or food processor. Pulse grinding is recommended.
  • Sift the powder through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any larger pieces or seeds.
  • Store the powdered cranberries in an airtight container in a cool, dark, and dry place.
