Ingredients

  • Puff Pastry
  • Pizza Sauce
  • Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • Pepperoni
  • Green Bell Pepper
  • Black Olives
  • Egg Wash
  • Italian Seasoning

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Unfold the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Use a rolling pin to gently roll it out to about a 12×12 inch square.
  • Use a sharp knife or pizza cutter to cut out Christmas tree shapes from the puff pastry.
  • Place half of the puff pastry trees on the prepared baking sheet. Spread each tree with a thin layer of pizza sauce, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Sprinkle each tree with shredded mozzarella cheese, followed by pepperoni, green bell pepper, and black olives.
  • Carefully place the remaining puff pastry trees on top of the topped trees, creating a sandwich. Gently press the edges together to seal.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and a tablespoon of water. Brush the tops of the puff pastry trees with the egg wash.
  • Sprinkle the tops of the trees with Italian seasoning.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let the pizza bites cool slightly on the baking sheet before serving. These are best served warm, but they can also be enjoyed at room temperature.
