  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 8 ounces bittersweet chocolate

Instructions

  • In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, heat the sugar over medium heat. Stir constantly until it turns into a golden brown liquid.
  • Carefully add the heavy cream to the caramelized sugar. Stir continuously until smooth.
  • Reduce heat and add butter, vanilla extract, and sea salt. Mix until fully integrated and allow to cool.
  • Melt the bittersweet chocolate in a double boiler until smooth. Stir in the cooled caramel.
  • Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and refrigerate for about 2 hours until firm.
