  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons green tea powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Green food coloring (optional)
  • Matcha powder, for dusting

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer.
  • Remove the cream from the heat and add the white chocolate chips, butter, green tea powder, vanilla extract, and salt. Let it sit for a minute to allow the chocolate to soften.
  • Stir the mixture with a whisk until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  • If you prefer a more intense green color, add a few drops of green food coloring and stir until desired color is reached.
  • Pour the mixture into a shallow dish or bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  • Once the mixture is chilled and set, use a small cookie scoop or a spoon to scoop out small portions and roll them into balls.
  • Roll the truffles in matcha powder until evenly coated.
  • Store the truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
