  • Green sanding sugar

Instructions

  1. Unwrap all 5 Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes.
  2. Place the unwrapped cakes into a large bowl.
  3. Mix the cakes together with a handheld mixer until a crumbly dough forms.
  4. Stir in the 3 tablespoons of festive sprinkles into the cake dough.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Using a tablespoon, scoop portions of the dough.
  7. Roll each scoop of dough between your palms to form a ball.
  8. Place the rolled cake balls onto the prepared parchment-lined baking sheet.
  9. Repeat until all the dough is used.
  10. Place the baking sheet with cake balls into the refrigerator to chill for at least 15 minutes.
  11. Melt the 8 ounces of white chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl.
  12. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each, until completely smooth.
  13. Alternatively, melt the chocolate using a double boiler over simmering water.
  14. Remove the chilled cake balls from the refrigerator.
  15. Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each cake ball into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it's fully coated.
  16. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off the truffle.
  17. Place the coated truffle back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  18. Repeat for all cake balls.
  19. Melt the 3 tablespoons of red candy melts in a piping bag or a Ziploc bag.
  20. Microwave in 30-second intervals, massaging the bag between each, until fully melted.
  21. Snip a tiny edge off the piping bag or Ziploc bag.
  22. Drizzle the melted red candy melts over the coated truffles on the baking sheet.
  23. Immediately sprinkle green sanding sugar over the drizzled truffles.
  24. Allow the truffles to set in the fridge for a few minutes until the chocolate is firm.
  25. Enjoy your Christmas Tree Cake Truffles!
