Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans country style biscuits
  • 10 soft caramels
  • 1 can apple pie filling apple chopped small
  • ½ cup butter melted
  • 1 cup cinnamon sugar (1 cup sugar + 1 tablespoon cinnamon)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  3. Cut each soft caramel in half.
  4. Flatten each caramel half using your fingers.
  5. Flatten each biscuit until it is twice its original diameter.
  6. Place one piece of flattened caramel onto the center of each flattened biscuit.
  7. Add 1 tablespoon of chopped apple pie filling on top of the caramel.
  8. Carefully bring the sides of the biscuit up.
  9. Seal the biscuit completely around the filling.
  10. Place the sealed biscuit bombs onto the prepared baking sheet.
  11. Ensure bombs are at least 1 inch apart.
  12. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes.
  13. Bake until the bombs are golden brown.
  14. As soon as they are cool enough to handle, dunk each bomb into the melted butter.
  15. Allow any excess butter to drip off.
  16. Roll each buttered bomb in the cinnamon sugar to coat completely.

Notes

Always chop the apples in the pie filling into smaller pieces for easier sealing.
Ensure biscuits are fully sealed to prevent filling from leaking during baking.
Work with slightly chilled biscuits; they are easier to handle and less sticky.
Dip and roll the bombs in cinnamon sugar while they are still warm for best adhesion.
