Festive and fun, these layered Red White and Blue Jello Shots are perfect for any patriotic celebration, easy to make for a crowd.

Ingredients

  • 3 ounce box blue Jello
  • 1½ cups water divided use
  • ½ cup vodka
  • 2 packets unflavored gelatin .25 ounce size packets
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 ounce box red Jello
  • 1½ cups water divided use
  • ½ cup vodka
  • 1½ cups whipped cream or whipped topping
  • ½ cup red white and blue sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Heat one cup of water until it's boiling for the blue layer.
  2. Pour the boiling water into a bowl containing your blue Jello powder.
  3. Whisk the mixture until the powder is completely dissolved.
  4. Pour in 1/2 cup cold water and whisk until combined.
  5. Pour in the vodka and whisk until thoroughly blended.
  6. Divide the blue Jello mixture evenly among 22 two-ounce shot cups.
  7. Chill for at least one hour, or until set.
  8. For the white layer, place 2 cups cold water in a pan.
  9. Sprinkle the two packets of unflavored gelatin over the cold water.
  10. Let the gelatin mixture sit for 2-3 minutes to bloom.
  11. Transfer the pan to the stove and cook on low heat for 4-5 minutes, stirring until gelatin has melted.
  12. Remove the mixture from the heat.
  13. Whisk in the 14 ounce can of sweetened condensed milk.
  14. Let the white mixture cool for 10 minutes.
  15. Carefully add a layer of white Jello on top of the set blue Jello in each cup.
  16. Chill for at least one hour, or until set.
  17. For the red layer, heat one cup of water until it's boiling.
  18. Pour the boiling water into a bowl containing your red Jello powder.
  19. Whisk the mixture until the powder is completely dissolved.
  20. Pour in 1/2 cup cold water and whisk until combined.
  21. Let the red mixture cool for 10 minutes.
  22. Add a layer of red Jello on top of the set white Jello in each cup.
  23. Chill for at least one hour, or until all layers are completely set.
  24. Just before serving, pipe or dollop a tablespoon of whipped cream onto each shot.
  25. Add some red white and blue sprinkles.
  26. Serve immediately.

Notes

Ensure each Jello layer is fully set before adding the next to create distinct lines.
Cool each Jello mixture for 10 minutes before pouring to prevent melting the previous layer.
Use clear shot cups for the best visual effect of the layers.
For easier pouring, transfer Jello mixtures to a liquid measuring cup with a spout.
