Quick and easy sautéed green beans with garlic and butter, perfect as a vibrant side dish for any meal.

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Add 1/4 cup water and the green beans to a large skillet.
  2. Bring the water to a boil over high heat.
  3. Cook the green beans in the boiling water for 3 minutes.
  4. Remove the green beans from the skillet and drain the water.
  5. Wipe the skillet dry with paper towels.
  6. Add the unsalted butter and minced garlic into the skillet.
  7. Stir and cook the butter and garlic until fragrant.
  8. Add the green beans, kosher salt, and coarse ground black pepper into the skillet.
  9. Toss to combine all ingredients.
  10. Sauté the beans over medium-high heat for 3-5 minutes, ensuring they do not overcook.

Notes

Use fresh green beans for the best texture.
Don’t overcook the initial boil to keep them tender-crisp.
Freshly minced garlic provides the best flavor.
Adjust salt and pepper to your personal taste.
